a) When visiting our website

When you visit our website, the browser used on your terminal equipment automatically sends information to the server of our website, which is located in the United States of America. The EU decided that the United States of America ensure an adequate level of protection. Therefore such a transfer shall not require any specific authorisation. We process the above data for the following purposes:

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit f GDPR. Our legitimate interests arise from the purposes of data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to obtain information about you as a person.

In addition, we use cookies, analysis tools and links to social networks when you visit our website. You will find more detailed explanations of these under Sections 4, 5, and 6 of this privacy notice.

We will only transfer your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your explicit consent to do so pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit a GDPR,

  • this is legally permissible and necessary for the handling of contractual relationships with you pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit b GDPR.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file your browser automatically creates which is stored on your terminal equipment (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not damage your terminal equipment and contain no viruses, Trojans, or other malware.

The cookies are used to store information associated with the specific terminal equipment used. However, this does not implicate that we immediately obtain knowledge of your identity.

On the one hand, cookies serve to make your browsing experience on our site more efficient and enjoyable. We use so-called session cookies to keep track of the individual pages you are visiting on our website. These session cookies are not memorized and expire automatically after you leave our website.

In addition, we use persistent cookies that are stored on your terminal equipment for a defined period of time to optimize user-friendliness. When you return to our site to use our services, these cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already browsed our site, thus enabling the entries and settings you have previously made to be automatically set so you do not have to re-enter the same information over and over.

On the other hand, we deploy cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimization (see Section 5). When you return to our site, these cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already browsed our site. They are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

The data processed by cookies are necessary for the specified purposes to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit f GDPR.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that you are always notified before a new cookie is created. However, if you completely deactivate cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.

5. Analysis tools

The tracking measures we deploy are listed below. They are implemented on the basis of Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit f GDPR. With the tracking measures deployed, we want to ensure that our website is designed to meet the user requirements and is continually optimized. Furthermore, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories are supplied by the corresponding tracking tools.

a) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google"), a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., to customize and continuously optimize our pages as required. In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies (see Section 4) are used. The cookie-generated information that identifies your interaction with this website such as:

  • the browser type/version,
  • the operating system used,
  • the referrer URL (the previously visited page),
  • the host name of the accessing computer (IP address) and
  • the time of the server request

is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information collected serves to analyze the website usage, compile reports on website activities and to provide further services associated with the website and internet usage for the purposes of market research and demand-oriented design of these web pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the data on behalf of the company. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other data from Google. The IP addresses are anonymized to prevent their allocation (IP masking).

You may refuse the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate browser settings; however, if you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.

You may also refuse the collection and processing by Google of cookie-generated data related to your website usage (including your IP address) by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile terminals, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on the opt-out link below. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent any future collection of your data when you return to this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your terminal. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will have to set the opt-out cookie again.

Deactivate Google Analytics

For more information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics, please consult Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en).

b) Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

We also use Google AdWords Conversion Tracking to statistically record and evaluate your interaction with our website for optimization purposes. Google AdWords will install a cookie (see Section 4) on your computer if you have accessed our website via a Google ad.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the AdWords customer's website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can determine that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page.

Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be traced through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected via the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for the conversion tracking. AdWords customers are able to see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also decline the cookie installation required here, for example by setting your browser to generally deactivate the automatic installation of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the "www.googleadservices.com" site. Google's privacy policy for conversion tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

c) Wiredminds

We also use the counting pixel technology of wiredminds GmbH (https://www.wiredminds.de) (Lindenspürstraße 32, 70176 Stuttgart, hereinafter referred to as "wiredminds") to analyze the behavior of our site visitors.

With this technology, data may be collected, processed and stored for usage profiling by pseudonym. Where possible and reasonable, these usage profiles are completely anonymized. This may involve the use of cookies (see Section 4). The collected data, which may also contain personal data, are transmitted to wiredminds or collected directly by wiredminds. wiredminds is entitled to use information gathered when you visit our website for usage profiling. The data obtained in this process will not be used to personally identify the website visitor without the explicit consent of the data subject concerned and will not be merged with personal data from the holder of the pseudonym. If IP addresses are recorded, they are immediately anonymized by deleting the last number block.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can prevent wiredminds from collecting data by clicking on the opt-out link below. You may also refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, if you refuse the use of cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.
